Our Natural Born Bob Tail Rottweilers are Vet Certified and are Guaranteed as being a Natural Born Bob Tail; registered with the CCCQ (Canine Control Council QLD) as Natural Born Bob Tail Rottweilers. All our adult dogs are HD and Elbow Scored.
The Natural Bob Tail gene in Rottweilers, has been present in Australia since the early 1960's, as the docking of Rottweilers was perfectly legal up till recent times, it was considered unnecessary to pursue this avenue of breeding. Since docking has been banned, a number of these rare Natural Born Bob Tail Dogs have been imported back into Australia and the line is now being re-established.
There are a number of different breeds of Natural Born Bob Tail dogs through out the world, just some breeds that have the Naturally occurring Bob Tail Gene include
American Bobtail
Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog
French Bulldog
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Braque du Bourbonnais
Japanese Bobtail
Manx Cat
Boxer
McNab Sheepdog
Miniature Fox Terrier
Old English Sheepdog
Rat Terrier
Teddy Roosevelt Terrier
Tenterfield Terrier
Australian Shepherd
No doubt, some un-informed individuals will claim; that they are in fact not Natural Born Bob Tails or that they in some way suffer from health issues due to the lack of a tail. There is absolutely no evidence at all, to suggest that, that is the case. In fact, health wise they exhibit no more problems than tailed dogs.
As our adult dogs, are all HD X-rayed, any significant problems would be detected in the parents prior to mating, not only are all our Natural Born Bob Tail Puppies, given a Vet Certificate to verify they are in fact a Natural Born Bob Tail, all our breeding puppies are sold with a Vet Certificate stating that they are Natural Born Bob Tail and that they are not suffering from any spinal abnormality.
Plus as we previously stated above, our Natural Born Bob Tail Rottweilers are registered with the CCCQ as being a Natural Born Bob Tail Rottweiler. If this type of dog did not exist or in fact was considered not worth breeding, why would the CCCQ even register the breed in the first place.
